This workshop, titled Cycle of Life (forest version), is designed for those curious about exploring the interconnectedness of art and nature. In this workshop participants will delve deep into nature, collecting leaves and other nature finds and then creatively arranging them into a temporary piece of art, known as a mandala. This is a single session workshop and takes 2 hours in park or forest; gathering material is part of the workshop and no additional material is required.

A Meditative Start
The workshop will incorporate a conscious theme of detachment, a principle inspired by the natural cycles of life and loss. To anchor this theme, a gentle forest-themed guided meditation will be introduced at the onset of the session. This meditation will serve as a gateway for participants, allowing them to deeply engage with the essence of detachment. As the workshop progresses, participants will be encouraged to reflect upon this theme, jotting down their feelings and revelations in a journal, culminating in an optional sharing at the workshop’s conclusion.
Crafting with Nature
Within the workshop’s sanctuary, participants will be acquainted with materials such as leaves, bark, seeds, stems and sticks and other natural treasures. With these in hand, they will be guided on how to artistically arrange them to form intricate mandalas. Don’t worry if you’re a novice in the realm of creativity; Conscious Crafting workshops are designed with beginners in mind. While we guide participants through each step, we also warmly invite them to sprinkle their pieces with personal insights and creative twists.
A Momentary Masterpiece
By the culmination of the workshop, participants will have crafted their very own nature-inspired mandala. This delicate artwork will not only stand as a testament to their creative journey but also as a poignant reminder of life’s transient beauty and the profound principle of detachment they immersed themselves in.
