To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.

Conscious Crafting is a social enterprise in spirit, specializing in developing and facilitating mindful crafting workshops that promote a positive mindset and well-being through creativity. Founder Suzan McCreadie has a passion for bringing people together through creative expression and fostering connections within communities. She believes that being creative can have a profound impact on one’s mindset and overall well-being, and our workshops reflect this belief.

Self-expression leading to Self-reflection

At our core, we believe in the importance of mental wellbeing and mindfulness. Our workshops are designed to inspire participants to tap into their creativity and discover new ways of self-expression, while also promoting mindfulness and self-reflection. Each workshop has a conscious theme, which is brought to the participants with a guided meditation at the beginning of each session. To engage all senses, a specially selected oil blend is diffused in the workspace and a supporting playlist for background music. At the end of each session, journalling is encouraged and a round of shared reflections closes off the session.

Meaningful Work

We are committed to empowering our facilitators with meaningful work, bringing them back into the workspace, and promoting their personal and professional growth. Our workshops provide an opportunity for our facilitators to share their skills and knowledge, connect with others, and build meaningful relationships with their communities.

Building inclusive Communities

We recognize the importance of building communities and connections, and our workshops provide an opportunity for participants to connect with others in a supportive and inclusive environment. This is not just done during the workshops but also by collecting recycled material in the surrounding areas. We believe that building connections and fostering relationships is essential for creating a more harmonious and connected world.

Inspired by Nature

We work with natural materials and engage with nature to promote the use of sustainable resources and eco-friendly practices. Where possible, eco-friendly alternatives are used for craft material and we aim to reduce, reuse and recycle. We are committed to using recycled materials and collecting from the community to reduce waste and bring awareness to sustainability practices.
