I can accept what is fading
and still notice what remains

Balance rarely arrives as a grand realisation. Most days it shows up in smaller ways, in how you divide your attention, in what you choose to keep going and what you let quietly fade. Some things ask to be held onto a little longer. Others have already had their turn, even if you have not said so out loud yet.

It shows up at work when one task finally gets its due while another sits unfinished and at home when you notice which routines still hold you steady and which have stopped fitting the way they used to. Relationships shift the same way, some conversations easier than they were, others needing more patience than before. None of this asks for a decision right now. It only asks you to notice, evenly, without rushing to fix what is uneven.

What you are left with is not a tidy split between what stays and what goes. It is more the quiet in between, where you can watch something fade without needing to chase it back and still know exactly what is standing firm.

A slow walk to the edge of an autumn wood on the one night the light and the dark stand equal. Balance is met through what is falling and what is quietly staying put, the leaves letting go while the branches and roots hold their place.

WY06 MEDITATION

Journal Prompts

1 What remains: take five areas, energy, relationships, home, work and self. For each one write down one thing that is changing and one thing that is still steady. Then write one line to the thing in your changing column that mattered most, naming what it gave you and letting it go.
