Plant a kind word and let it grow

Kindness shows up in the smallest exchanges, a word said at the right moment, a door held open, a message sent because someone crossed your mind. It rarely announces itself and it is easy to let it pass by unnoticed, both the kindness you receive and the kindness you have to give.

Some days it asks very little of you, just a moment of attention, a willingness to notice what is already growing around you before you rush past it. Other days it asks you to be the one who starts something, a kind word offered first, without knowing how it will be received or where it will end up. Kindness given this way does not need to be seen to matter, it just needs to be planted.

What you choose to notice and say has a way of settling somewhere, in you and in whoever it reaches. Slow down enough today to notice it and see what you might be ready to plant yourself.

meditation

A quiet garden meditation that lingers on small, unseen kindnesses, a seed settling into soil, a word once given or received. It moves gently through scent, sound and stillness before it asks you to find your own kind word and let it rest, unhurried, like something quietly beginning to grow.

Stop and smell the roses.
Bloom where you are planted.
Grow through what you go through.
Every season has its own beauty.
Small seeds grow into strong roots.
The grass grows where you water it.
Turn your face to the sun.
Roots grow deep before flowers grow tall.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Let your light shine.
Weeds and all, you are still growing.
Kindness blooms wherever it is planted.
Find peace in the little things.
You bloom in your own time.
Even a little sunshine helps things grow.
