Breaking old habits and Creating new Patterns

This workshop is about reviewing your existing patterns and routines that might not be serving you anymore in your life, either physically or emotionally. We use stamps as analogy for repeat actions, forming new habits that improve your life and look beautiful.

In a light-hearted fun way, we explore stamping creatively where we are also allowed to lean onto each other for inspiration, help and guidance by borrowing each other’s stamps without apology or sense of possessiveness. In the second part of the workshop, we will dive deeper into our specific routine or habits we would like to change and work consciously on creating a beautiful design of the desired outcome.

Changing one Stamp at the Time

The stamping workshop is really suited to many different groups of people, such as young people, as part of a retreat, as part of reconnecting with your creativity. This may also work very well as part of a treatment for eating disorders, supporting addicts in recovery etc.

Stamp Art Pillowcase

We will be creating stamps with simple and cheap material. It’s a fun light-hearted workshop that explores a lot of different material and ways of working that most people haven’t really been exposed to unless they’ve done anything like the lino cuts or similar to that. So depending on the group that will join the workshop adjustments can be made. In the end the product we will create is a sheet of stamped design that can be used as wrapping paper. In the second session a pillowcase is stamped to take home.

Stamp and Repeat

We will be experimenting with stamping as well as cutting out shapes, layering, colour theory and an introduction to composition. The repeat of each stamp is a reminder that it takes practice to get a routine mastered.
