Masks, Speech Bubbles, and Memorable Photos

This Sparkles & Snapshots workshop is designed for groups celebrating special occasions, offering a creative and lighthearted experience. The workshop consists of a single session lasting 2 hours, during which participants will design masks and decorative signs for group photos. All materials are provided, and no prior artistic skills are required.

Life’s a Party – Shine On!

Putting Fun into Focus The workshop will incorporate a conscious theme of self-expression, introduced through a short guided meditation at the start. This theme encourages participants to explore their identities and celebrate connections with others. The hands-on activities reflect this by allowing participants to create masks and signs that embody their personalities, humour, or sentiments. Reflection and optional sharing at the end provide an opportunity to tie the experience back to the theme of embracing individuality and relationships.

Creating Characters and Captions In the workshop, participants will learn how to use pre-cut mask bases, card stock, paints, markers, glue, and embellishments such as feathers and glitter to create visually striking pieces. Techniques include cutting, collage, hand-lettering, and stencilling. These activities allow participants to build layered designs while exploring colour and texture. Emphasis is placed on personalisation, with participants guided step-by-step but encouraged to experiment and add their own flair.

Snap, Sparkle, and Shine At the end of the workshop, participants will have completed personalised masks and decorative speech bubbles ready for group photos. These finished pieces will serve not only as vibrant keepsakes but also as playful reminders of a joyful, shared experience. The workshop closes with a lighthearted group photo session, capturing the energy and creativity sparked during the activities.
