Illuminate the festive Spirit with Creative Light and Glitter

This Sparkly Season workshop is designed for those who wish to bring a touch of magic into their holiday season through creative expression. The workshop consists of two sessions where participants will explore the art of gelliprinting on dark and black paper, followed by the creation and embellishment of personalised Seasons’ Greetings cards. Each session is 2 hours long, and all necessary materials are provided.

A Touch of Sparkle

The workshop will incorporate the conscious theme of “A little sparkle lights up someone’s life.” This theme will be introduced with a guided meditation at the start of each session, inviting participants to reflect on how small acts of kindness and creativity can brighten someone’s day. Journalling and optional sharing at the end of each session will encourage participants to connect with the theme on a deeper level, fostering a mindful approach to the creative process.

Crafting with Light and Glitter

In this workshop, participants will learn to use gelliprint plates, acrylic paints, biodegradable glitter, and a variety of embellishments to create stunning visual effects on dark surfaces. The techniques explored include gelliprinting, which involves using a gel plate to transfer paint onto paper, and collage, where participants will layer materials to create textured and vibrant compositions. These workshops are accessible to everyone, regardless of prior creative experience, with guidance provided throughout to support participants in expressing their unique styles and ideas.

Sending Sparkle and Joy

By the end of the workshop, participants will have crafted their own unique Christmas cards, adorned with their personalised messages and artistic touches. These cards will not only serve as heartfelt gifts for friends and relatives but also as a tangible reminder of the joy and inspiration experienced during the workshop. Embracing the conscious theme, these creations will embody the message that a little sparkle can truly brighten someone’s day.
