Gelliprint bunting inspired by celebrations

This Printing Party workshop is designed for groups of co-workers, classmates, or any collective who want to explore the joy of creating something for a shared celebration. Over two sessions, participants will gelliprint paper sheets, cut them into bunting shapes, and assemble them into a collective strand of decorative bunting. Each session lasts 2 hours, and all materials are provided.

A Party for the Mind

The conscious theme of this workshop is ‘party,’ and it will be woven into the experience through a guided meditation at the beginning of each session. The excitement and bonding that comes with preparing for a special occasion will be explored as participants work together to create a final, large piece. This workshop encourages reflection on the significance of shared celebrations, with optional journalling and group sharing available at the end of each session.

Print, Cut, Assemble

Participants will learn how to use gelliprint plates, acrylic paints, paper, and coloured wool to create vibrant prints, which will then be cut into bunting shapes and assembled. The step-by-step guidance ensures a relaxed and enjoyable process, with participants adding their own personal touches to the final piece. No prior experience or skills are required, and everyone is encouraged to embrace their own creative expression.

The More You Celebrate

At the end of the workshop, participants will have contributed to a unique, collaborative strand of bunting, perfect for decorating the next event or occasion. As a final activity, the group will decide together when and where their celebration will be, marking the moment when the bunting will be used to bring their shared creation to life.
