A heartfelt keepsake Crafted with care and inTention

The workshop begins with a guided meditation to settle the body and mind and to gently explore themes of love, care, and what draws us towards certain objects, textures, or memories. After the meditation, participants are invited to choose a garment or accessory from a carefully curated selection of vintage pieces from Wardrobe Wonders. These pieces are used purely as inspiration. If suitable, items such as scarves may be worn while working, allowing participants to physically connect with the material and notice how it feels, moves, or resonates. The chosen piece then becomes the starting point for reflection, and can be purchased at the end.

From inspiration to intention

Using the garment as a visual and tactile prompt, participants move into a short journaling phase. This helps clarify why the piece stood out and what it represents in terms of love, care, comfort, or personal meaning. From there, participants select fabrics, felt, lace, buttons, ribbon and other soft materials to create their pocket heart. The heart shape is traced, cut, stitched and layered by hand, with gentle guidance available throughout. Each heart includes a small inner pocket, designed to hold a handwritten message, wish, or affirmation. Some small refreshments are provided to create a space to connect.

Sharing and connection

The session closes with optional sharing. Participants are invited to speak about the garment they chose and what made it feel meaningful or “loving” to them, as well as the intention placed inside their pocket heart. This moment often deepens connection within the group and brings the process full circle.

What you take home

Each participant leaves with a pocket-sized fabric heart carrying a personal message, along with the experience of having worked slowly, mindfully, and with intention. The finished piece can be kept close, gifted to someone else, or used as a quiet reminder of care and connection.
