Conscious Crafting for Positive Change!

This Craftivism workshop is designed for groups that want to harness creativity to advocate for change. The workshop consists of either two sessions or a single extended session, in which participants will conceptualise and create protest banners. Each session lasts 2 hours, and all materials are provided.

Conscious Change!

The workshop will incorporate a conscious theme of “Change!” which will be introduced with a guided meditation at the beginning of each session. This meditation aims to center the participants, encouraging them to reflect on the current situations they are unhappy with and the changes they wish to see. Participants will brainstorm the “before” and “after” of these situations, visualising both the present state and the desired outcome, which will guide their creative process. Reflection through journaling and optional sharing at the end of each session will deepen their engagement with the theme.

Crafting for a Cause

In this workshop, participants will use materials such as sticks, cardboard, paper, pens, and paint to explore crafting and painting techniques. No prior creative experience is necessary; the workshop is designed to be accessible and supportive for everyone. Participants will receive step-by-step guidance throughout the process, with encouragement to personalise their banners with their own insights and ideas. This is not an art class but a collaborative space for conscious creation.

Banners of Change

By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a double-sided banner. This banner will serve not only as a unique personal piece of art but also as a powerful tool for protest and a reminder of the meaningful experience shared. The act of creating these banners will reinforce the conscious theme of change, leaving participants with a sense of accomplishment and a visual representation of their advocacy.
