Glowing Glass is a workshop designed to remind you to create new memories. This workshop is perfect for adults, teens and families who enjoy getting hands-on with simple, natural and recycled materials like hessian, ribbons and beads.
In the season of giving, the greatest
treasures are the moments we pause
to appreciate the people and memories
of the year drawing to an end
You’ll decorate a simple glass jar or two, using layering, wrapping and decoupage techniques, creating soft-glowing candle holders that carry a sense of personal meaning. Whether the light reminds you of a moment from this year or a feeling you wish to bring into the season, each jar becomes a small reflection of your own intentions. Many of the materials are recycled or repurposed, offering a gentle, sustainable approach to festive making.
From choosing paper serviettes, ribbons and twine to adding small charms or textured layers like curtain netting, each participant creates a candle jar with its own quiet character. These glowing pieces can become part of your seasonal décor or accompany gatherings throughout the festive period, carrying the warmth and meaning you placed into them.
This workshop is about more than just crafting – it’s a time to reflect, connect, and enjoy the company of others. Whether you’re meeting new people or joining with friends, the environment is welcoming and relaxed, with a focus on mindfulness and making memories together. No previous experience is required – just a willingness to explore and create.
