This Marriage Memos workshop is designed for groups celebrating meaningful milestones, such as a hens party, where participants create a collaborative and artistic keepsake. The workshop offers a single two-hour session where participants design a bespoke card deck filled with marital advice and reflections. All materials are provided, making it accessible and enjoyable for anyone.

Advice with Layers

The workshop incorporates the conscious theme of shared wisdom, introduced through a short guided meditation to set an atmosphere of connection and reflection. Participants are invited to consider the richness of advice passed down from loved ones and how it contributes to a strong foundation for the couple. This theme is woven into the creative process, as participants personalise cards with meaningful messages and visual elements that represent their perspectives and insights.

Hands-On with Meaning

Participants will use gelli plates, acrylic paints, blank card stock, and magazines to design and customise the deck. Techniques include gelli printing to create layered, textured card backs and collage to integrate pre-printed advice prompts and images. The process is accessible to those with no prior creative experience, with clear guidance provided at each step. Participants are encouraged to embrace their own style, ensuring every card is unique and personal.

A Keepsake with Heart

At the end of the session, participants will have collectively created a personalised deck of advice cards. This unique keepsake will not only be a creative memento for the newlyweds but also a lasting reminder of the shared wisdom and joyful connections celebrated during the workshop.
