I am grounded, safe and secure. I trust the process of life and feel deeply rooted in who I am.

To feel grounded is to know that you belong here, exactly as you are. This affirmation invites you to settle into that quiet certainty, the sense that beneath everything you carry there is solid ground holding you. Safety is not something you have to earn or chase. It is already here, in the steady weight of your body and the breath that keeps returning, faithful and unhurried.

When life feels uncertain, you can come back to this. Picture the warm red light at the base of your spine and the roots reaching down from it into the earth below. However the winds move around you, those roots hold you steady. Trusting the process of life does not mean knowing what comes next. It means resting in the knowledge that you are supported, that you have stood firm before and can do so again.

You are deeply rooted in who you are and that place of belonging is always within reach. Whenever you need it, you can close your eyes, feel your feet on the ground and return to this steadiness. It is yours and it is waiting for you any time you choose to come home to it.

Take your time with these. There are no right answers.

  1. Reflect on a moment when you felt deeply connected to the Earth or nature. Describe what you were doing, the sensations, emotions and thoughts you experienced.
  2. What is your earliest memory that evokes feelings of safety and belonging and how does recalling this memory influence your current sense of security?
  3. Recall a situation where you felt uprooted, ungrounded or destabilised. How did you cope and what did you learn about your resilience and ability to re-ground yourself?
